Laurent, Pregnancy

Baby Laurent

Finally had my 20-week detailed scan today!

It’s quite an important milestone because this scan typically confirms the gender of the baby and also looks at the vital stats of the major organs and features of the baby to give mum and dad some assurance if the baby is doing ok and developing normally.

I haven’t been able to feel (or recognise) movement from Baby L until a few days back and last night, the first night Wayne is back from his diving trip, I felt rather strong movements from Baby L just before sleeping. I even managed to let Wayne feel one of the strong rumbles 🙂

Unlike during the 13-week OSCAR scan, the little one was a lot more cooperative today and was in the perfect position for the scan. Dr managed to take all the vital stats and explained to us that Baby L is growing well and healthy 😀

And it’s confirmed, that we’re expecting a baby boy 🙂

There are quite a lot of things we need to seriously think about and plan to prepare for Baby L’s arrival. It might seem like some time away, but I reckon days will be passing pretty fast… Especially with all the arrangements at work.

For now, we are just extremely thankful that everything has been going well so far and for all the love and support (including advices and food) we have been receiving 🙂 Pray that the Lord will continue to bless the little one and our beautiful journey together!
