Quick & Easy Bathroom (Re) Organising

Warm shower after a long day can be such a luxury, especially one in a neat, nice and sweet smelling bathroom!

Our bathroom definitely started out pretty neat, but over the year, we seemed to have collected quite a bit of products. I wonder why I only realised how messy it was like… last week. And it really irritated the heck out of me -_-

I reckon it must have been such a chore for Wayne to pick up the numerous bottles one by one to place them somewhere else when he cleans the bathroom too.

So with the sudden burst of fervour to re-organise the bathroom, I went on a shopping trip during lunch time and returned with a giant bag full of trays and containers. All from DAISO ($2, $2, $2…)!

And I decided that before my enthusiasm runs out and I start to procrastinate, I should really get down to it this very day. So here’s the little transformation of our bathroom 🙂

In case you haven’t noticed, Wayne is a vainpot too. Which means he has a lot of products as well and I’m not the only one contributing to the mess. Just to be clear 🙂

One important and useful organising tip I’ve learnt from a book which I read about a year ago (when I was very enthusiastic about keeping a clean and neat house right from the start), is to give your things a designated place to go/ return to. And make it a habit to return them to their respective places right after using them. Sounds simple right… but it doesn’t always happen in reality. In fact, it really requires some conscious effort.

So that is where all the trays and containers come into the picture. To provide a specific spot for all our toiletries and products to return to, after we use them.

Keeping the toilet cleaning tools handy helps you to be more diligent in keeping the toilet clean. And I  loveeeee METHOD products because they smell great, naturally, and have pretty packaging! Maybe I’ll blog about the METHOD products I’m using in another post, after I stock up at their sale :p

It’s not exactly a major transformation and I spent less than $20 on all the stuff from DAISO (including the dehumidifier), but I think it really helps to start small and concentrate on 1 thing at a time when it comes to organising so that the process doesn’t seem so daunting.

For now, cheers to happy showers!
