Happy Valentine’s Day!

Few nights ago when I climbed into bed after one of those midnight toilet trips, the husband suddenly asked in a sleepy voice, “what time is it?”

“2 am, why?”

And he suddenly turned to me and gave me a hug.

“‘Cause it’s time for a 2am-hug…”

I find gestures like these the sweetest when they appear randomly during our everyday lives, not just on special occasions 🙂

This year, Valentine’s Day is completely fuss-free for us. We are planning to order pizzas, put our legs up on the sofa, watch TV and dig into tubs of Ben & Jerry’s 😀

That said, we still do things which reminds us of Valentine’s Day. And really old-school stuff too. A hand-written letter (and using my new calligraphy pen) folded in the shape of a heart and a pretty pink DIY bouquet 🙂 That reminds me… he gave me a bouquet of lilies which he wrapped himself for our first Valentine’s Day!

Because the true beauty of it, lies in being thankful for the people that have been loving you relentlessly.

Happy Valentine’s Day to the ones I love and the ones who love me ❤️
