Kiehl’s New Gentle Foaming Hair & Body Wash

Laurent has had a few cases of rashes on his face and body so we have always been careful in selecting his body wash and baby cream.

When Kiehl’s sent us the “Baby Safe and Mommy Approved” kit to try, I was really glad to read that Kiehl’s baby collection is paraben-free, paediatrician-tested, dermatologist-tested, mommy-approved (very important!) and specially developed to gently protect baby’s delicate skin.

Kiehl’s is a trusted and renowned skin care brand, well-known for their star products such as the Midnight Recovery Concentrate. But did you know that it has been offering children’s skincare products for nearly 25 years?

The newest addition to their Baby Collection is the Gentle Foaming Hair & Body Wash which gently cleanses baby’s skin and hair with a mild, tear-free formula.

The adorable kit came with a bucket full of rubber duckies and needless to say, Laurent was busy playing with the bucket and making the duckies squeak while I read through the very informative packagings (very typical of all Kiehl’s products).

I have been using hair & body wash for Laurent (as opposed to separate products for his hair and body) because it’s a lot more convenient. I love that Kiehl’s new Gentle Foaming Hair & Body Wash is able to provide such convenience as well. It foams up nicely in very fine bubbles when I was washing his hair and rinses away easily when I was giving him a top-to-toe wash.

Not that I was trying to test whether it is really a tear-free formula but in my excitement, some of the foam got into Laurent’s eyes when I was washing his hair. He simply blinked a couple of times and was able to keep his eyes wide open again with no sign of discomfort.

After towelling dry, it leaves a light, powdery scent which smells really comfortable.

The Baby Cream comes in a rather rich texture so in view of the humid weather recently, I did not apply the cream all over his body, but only on areas where he has some rough and dry patches.

The smell of the cream is almost unnoticeable and despite the rich texture, it gets absorbed rather easily.

While the Baby Lip Balm can be used to protect the little one’s lips, I think I needed it a lot more than him, so I tried it on myself instead :p

The lip balm is very moisturising and only has a faint smell of shea butter.

I usually have to consciously avoid kissing or snuggling up with Laurent after I slather on my lip balm, but with Kiehl’s baby-safe lip balm formula, I feel much safer kissing him even when I have my lip balm on. Yay to more (moisturising) goodnight kisses!

Thank you Kiehl’s for sending the Baby Skincare Collection our way to care for Laurent’s delicate baby skin! We are already looking forward to his next bath time 😀
