My gynae check-ups have even scheduled on Mondays for the month and one of the Mondays happened to be 30 June, our 1.5 year wedding anniversary.

We are not really big on the anniversary celebrations, maybe just a nice meal or 2 (as what we did for our 1 year wedding anniversary), but Wayne has been really supportive and sweet throughout the pregnancy, I wanted to plan a simple day out with him just to enjoy and relax before Laurent comes along 🙂

So after the check-up, Wayne was nicely surprised with a massage appointment at Afond Spa in Holland V 🙂 He has been looking forward to a massage for the longest time, and was even talking about it just 2 days before this.

He did a swedish massage and I had a pre-natal massage. It felt sooooo goooood…. Temporary relieve for the lower backaches I’ve been experiencing 🙂 And the 2-to-go promo at Afond Spa is pretty worth it!After that, we made our way to GV Grand to catch Transformers (I’m a sucker for summer blockbusters, no matter how bad their reviews are :X) ! We were still wondering whether we will be able to catch Transformers before Baby L arrives because it’s only released 2 weeks before his EDD.

And after close to 3 hours in the cinema (thank God for the complimentary Gold Class tickets and reclining seats), we headed out for dinner!

Ordered by the doctor to have more meat so I chose a steakhouse for dinner that night (and a little french one too!) 😛

Les Bouchons was really a nice, quaint, French-themed restaurant with lovely ambience for a romantic dinner. Besides the escargot (which I thought wasn’t seasoned nicely and still had a very ‘fishy’ taste to it), the steak was nicely done, the portion was huge and free-flow fries. Then again, we didn’t even managed to get past the 1st serving of fries 😛 And the price is really reasonable too!

And a short walk along the quay wrapped up the day 🙂

Can’t believe it’s already more than a year since we’re married and preparing to move on to the next stage of our lives 🙂 I thank God for placing this wonderful man in my life, who is far from being a perfect person, but perfect in His plans for me. For being someone whom I can depend on, seek comfort in and walk with ❤️
