Baby-Friendly Healthy Fruity Popsicle
Although Singapore’s default weather is warm and humid on most days, there’s no denying that these few weeks have been sweltering!
Both Wayne and Laurent are extremely “sensitive” to the heat and sweat very easily so whenever I propose to leave the balcony door open for some fresh air in the evenings instead of having the aircon on, I get 2 sweaty and slightly irritable boys on my hands.
That, coupled with Laurent’s tooth #9 and tooth #10 popping out, I decided to make some icy cold treats for the boys to cool them down and soothe Laurent’s swollen gums (teething is tough job man).
I brought out the Zoku Mini Pop Molds and chopped up some green kiwis, golden kiwis, strawberries and a small mango.
I blended the fruits up into puree, individually.
Filled the molds with the colourful puree in alternating layers, and popped them into the freezer.
Here’s how the mini pops look like after freezing!
It’s a little tangy, but Laurent couldn’t resist it (neither can the daddy)!
I thought the mold was a little small when I first used it, but it was the perfect size for Laurent to hold, and the serving was just nice for me! I appreciate how easy it is to ‘pop’ the popsicles out and I didn’t even have to run the mold under water.
And I’m not kidding when I say….
He couldn’t get enough of it.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE IS NO MORE OF THOSE POPSICLES?!”
Maybe I should add a caption to this photo and send it as one of those internet memes of children throwing tantrum over the darnest reasons:
“I told him there is no more popsicles.
He was the one who finished them.”
Hope you guys will enjoy the healthy fruity popsicles as much as erm… Laurent did!
