I used to be an avid Biotherm fan couple of years back (because Wayne is, and still is, an avid Biotherm user). Then I got distracted by the many other skincare options around and started brand-hopping.

I rekindled my love for the Biotherm brand when they sent me the reformulated Blue Therapy serum – Blue Therapy Accelerated for review last year. I loved it so much, I bought another bottle just before finishing the one that Biotherm sent to me.

I was really excited when I receive the Biotherm Life Plankton™ Mask just before the new year!

I always look forward to receiving packages from the Biotherm/ Kiehl’s team because they ALWAYS take the effort to put together beautiful and inspiring items to go with their products!

The Biotherm Life Plankton™ Mask contains 35 nutrients to soothe and intensely repair our skin. It helps our skin to fight redness, discomfort and skin damages and helps it to recover from daily urban aggressions, leaving our skin dewy and visibly brighter.

I’m still using my Kiehl’s Dermatologist Solutions™ Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate as my moisturiser in my morning skincare routine but I like the idea of using a leave-on hydrating mask at night to soothe my skin, repair it and replenish it with moisture while I sleep.

 I’ve been using the sleeping pack in my night routine for several months now. While I like that it is really moisturising, I seldom use it more than 3 times a week because it can get a little too rich for my skin.

I’ve finally finished the sleeping pack so I’ve recently started using the  Biotherm Life Plankton™ Mask  regularly. In fact, I’ve been using it every night for the past couple of weeks and I like that it is not too rich for my skin!

The  Biotherm Life Plankton™ Mask comes in a hydrogel texture which feels light and fresh on the skin. It is easy to apply an even layer on the skin without the skin feeling burdened or oily. There is a slight cooling sensation as the mask melts into the skin which helps to soothe the skin.

I haven’t really noticed if my skin became visibly brighter, but it definitely seems more dewy and well-hydrated in the morning. This is especially useful for most of us who sleeps in air-con room which tends to dry out our skin.

I absolutely love the smell of the Biotherm Blue Therapy serum – Blue Therapy Accelerated, but I’m not a huge fan of the smell of the Biotherm Life Plankton™ Mask. Don’t worry, it doesn’t smell bad at all, just that I guess I’m not used to it yet.

That said, I have a feeling the Biotherm Life Plankton™ Mask will be one of my ‘empties’ a few months down the road because I can see myself using it religiously given it’s ability to hydrate my skin without being too rich and the light and fresh hydrogel texture which feels so comfortable on my skin 🙂
