I had big plans to complete some Christmas craft before the festive season but my custom orders and christmas gifts took longer than expected to complete so with the little time I have on hand, I’m glad I managed to complete a simple little project.

We have had the same christmas decor for the past 2 years so this year, I wanted to personalise the ornaments on our christmas tree a little.

We came across some rustic looking wooden christmas ornaments at Cotton On and they looked like the perfect canvas for me to do some hand lettering. And they were extremely affordable too! If I remember correctly, we got them at 2 for $5 and with part of the profit going to charity 🙂

While I was thinking about what words I want to put on these ornaments, I came across a post on Facebook about the different names of Jesus. Since the season is really all about celebrating Jesus coming into our midst, I thought it will be a great idea to write down His different names, to remind us that this season is all about Him.

Earlier this week, Wayne put up our Christmas tree and we decorated it with Laurent “helping” out for the first time! It’s really quite a warm, fuzzy feeling celebrating this special season with the little one 🙂 Two years ago he was still in my bump, last year he was just lying (and maybe rolling) around not being very involved and this year… we’re just praying hard that he leaves the tree and ornaments alone after putting them up 😛

We’ve never had a tree topper, but this year, we’re topping it with Jesus!

During this festive season of giving, loving and gathering, let us remember the ultimate gift – Jesus Christ, Our Saviour 🙂
