Here’s Part 2 of Laurent’s room revamp, just in time for the Chinese New Year!

For Part 1 of his room revamp, I was focusing more on getting some items to store his books and toys. For the 2nd part of his room revamp, I focused more on the decorative elements and personalising of his room.

This time round, I’m super thrilled to share with you guys about an awesome new online store that carries specially curated apparel, toys, nursery décor and gift ideas for the kids – Upsy Daisy!

Shop with Upsy Daisy is ran by my uni friend, Alicia, and her sister Aud while its party arm is ran by their little sister, C. I was extremely happy and excited for them when they first launched the Upsy Daisy Facebook Page and even more so when the brands that they carry keep growing and their recently launched Upsy Daisy Website which makes the whole shopping experience more seamless and convenient 🙂 I love the clean look of the website and its easy navigation. Great job ladies!

When they first approached me about the collaboration, I was particularly moved by their strict criteria in choosing the products that they carry:

• Support the labour of love of artisan mums and/or artisan families.

While Upsy Daisy now carries a wide range of high-quality products for kids, I’ll be featuring a few items, which came specially curated in a lovingly packed gift box, for me to personalise Laurent’s room.

Burrow & Be Paper Plane Pillowcase (SGD29)

Does anyone else have problem finding good looking pillow cases or is it just me?

I have been searching high and low for pillowcases to match Laurent’s monochrome interior and I can’t be more thrilled to find the very chic-looking Burrow & Be pillow cases on Upsy Daisy!

The pillow cases currently come in 3 super fun designs and all of them are designed by Catherine Melo and hand screen-printed in New Zealand using non-toxic water based inks.

I’m pretty sure I’ll be buying the other 2 designs too, but for the purpose of this feature, I chose the Paper Plane design!

The pillow case is made of top quality 100% cotton with 300-thread count. It’s so smooth and comfortable, I was wishing they came in designs suitable for our own bed too!

And I am pretty sure I’m not the only one who appreciates the fantastic quality of this pillow 🙂

Baum-kuchen: Life’s Journey Measuring Sticks (SGD39.90)

The LIFE’s Journey measuring sticks is very much unlike the other measuring sticks/ charts out there in the market. I’ve been holding myself back from buying prints for Laurent’s room because I’m in the midst of creating some hand-written pieces for him 🙂 But when I see the beautiful and sparkly hand-cut Muska Elvis artwork, I just HAD TO get it!

Not only does it fit his room decor nicely now, I believe the little dude will love to keep this cool sign as part of his room decor even when he grows older 🙂

Heart on a String: Love you to the moon and back wall hanging – Turquoise and Gold (SGD54.90)

One of my favourite quotes for Laurent and I have actually made a calligraphy artwork with this quote for his room previously 🙂 The gorgeous wall-hanging is beautifully handcrafted, with the top section crafted out of wood, and the stars are handcut cardstock, with the words painted in non-toxic gold paint.

Wayne and I held the wall-hanging around the room, looking for the perfect spot to place it. While it looked beautiful at almost every spot, we thought the gold and glitter looked perfect against the room’s dark wooden door.

For the girls (and the ladies), the Heart on a String wall-hanging also comes in a pretty pink version 😉
