With the internet, Instagram and Paypal, it has become so convenient to shop online, especially for kids clothing.

But, call me old school if you will, I still very much enjoy shopping for Laurent’s clothes at physical stores because to me, shopping isn’t an item to clear off the to-do list. I see it as an experience to be enjoyed, much like dining out and having a stroll in the park.

Hence, I’m very thankful for “click & mortar” stores like Privikids. It has an online store to cater to mamas who need the convenience and also 2 physical retail stores to satisfy the shopping streak in mamas like me.

When we were staying in the East, we used to frequent Changi City Point a lot and had been patronizing the PriviKids store which used to be there.

After moving to the North-East area, I was thrilled when I found out that PriviKids will have a new store at Waterway Point! Since the opening of Waterway Point, I’ve gone shopping at the PriviKids store countless time 🙂

Recently, I connected with Cheryl, the founder of PriviKids, to feature the PriviKids Store @ Waterway on my blog so we popped by the store (again) for another shopping trip and it was when I paid greater attention to the shopping experience that I realise why we enjoy shopping at the PriviKids store so much.

1. Carefully Curated Collection

While there are no lack of children’s clothes available locally, it sure takes some effort to find special and good quality kids apparels and accessories. Cheryl and her team does a great job in bringing in carefully curated  kids apparels and accessories, as well as lifestyle products from overseas that are of great quality and totally Instagram-worthy!

2. Attentive & Warm Service

I noticed that EVERY time we visited the PriviKids store, the salesperson is always there to offer friendly advices, share more about the brands and products and readily help to check stock and sizes. Laurent usually takes a LONG time to warm up to strangers but he quickly got acquainted with Jennifer who was attending to us that day. He even wanted her to carry him and refused to leave the store!

3. A Fun Place for Kids

Unlike daddy, Laurent sometimes isn’t the best shopping buddy when it comes to shopping for clothes. Shoes maybe, but not clothes. More often than not, he will be chanting “let’s go, let’s go” when I barely picked up the 2nd piece of clothing. At the PriviKids store, there are lots of fun and colorful toys that are, again, of impeccable quality to keep the little ones excited. That day, we stayed for more than an hour at the store and Laurent entertained himself by checking out the different soft toys and cushions and finally set his sight on bringing home an adorable knitted airplane.

4. Trying for Fit & Sizes

The apparels at PriviKids are sourced from different countries so the sizing and fit can be rather different between the brands. Shopping at the PriviKids store allows us to try the apparels for the best fit and size.

5. Completing an Outfit

I also love the stylish accessories available at the PriviKids store and being there physically means I could easily pick out different items and accessories to match and complete Laurent’s outfits for the look that I want. The checkered bandana, for example, is a great addition to Laurent’s outfit which we won’t have bought if we were not physically shopping at the PriviKids store. Super useful for mamas (like me) who are not too good in visualizing 😉

6. Located at Waterway Point’s Family Zone

PriviKids is located at Level 2 of Waterway Point’s West Wing. The area is basically a kid’s haven with an indoor playground (Kid’s Wonderland), an outdoor playground (Happy Park), other kids and family friendly stores and eateries like Times bookstore, Kiddy Palace, Swensen’s, etc. Your family will have a ton to do after shopping at PriviKids and I’m sure your kids will LOVE going there 🙂
